Mama’s Beefy Pasta
 
1/2 pound pasta shapes
1 pound ground beef
4 roma tomatoes
6-8 garlic cloves
1 tsp black pepper
1 Tbl basil
Parmesan or Cheddar cheese (optional)
 
 
Put water on to boil for the pasta. Drizzle a bit of oil (I like to use olive oil) into the water (this should help with the "boil over" problem). Cook pasta according to package directions. (I like to use bow tie pasta, or penne… they’re just my faves!) Meanwhile, brown ground beef in hot skillett until no longer pink. While that is browning, dice tomatoes and coarsely chop garlic. Drain beef. Add tomatoes, garlic, pepper and basil. Cook until tomatoes are just hot. Remove from heat and toss with pasta. Top with grated cheese, if desired.
 
Serve hot and enjoy!
